Recommendations on Undergraduate (Bachelor's Degree) Program Learning Outcomes in Library and Information Science and Archival Studies 2025
Through the APTIPI Musyawarah Nasional and Collegial Meeting 2025 held at Universitas Padjadjaran, the Undergraduate Education and Curriculum Commission (Bachelor’s Degree Program) formulated national recommendations on Program Educational Objectives (PEOs), Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs), and curriculum development for Library and Information Science and Archival Studies programs. These recommendations emphasize the importance of mastering information organization concepts and practices, information resource management, library services, information preservation, and the application of information and communication technologies to support information management and retrieval. Furthermore, APTIPI recommends strengthening competencies in leadership, communication, collaboration, information institution management, research skills based on scientific methods, professional ethics, academic integrity, entrepreneurship, and innovation in the information field. Curriculum development is also directed toward the implementation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE), the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI), and distance learning as part of a higher education transformation that responds to technological advancements and evolving societal needs. These recommendations are expected to serve as a common reference for Library and Information Science and Archival Studies programs across Indonesia in developing relevant, high quality, and future oriented curricula.
